Soon, we will be able to affer you various types of LED's. End of last year, we have identified a supplier and started testing and evaluating the various types of LED. Because we understand very well that not everybody is willing to investigate all possible options for LED's we have selected the best possible candidates for use on board. Next to this, we also have started investigating Navigation LED lights.

We will support you of course with background information on what's what. Next to this, we will offer you support in selecting the right LED for the right purpose. And finally - last but not least - the price. You will not be able to find a better price / performance ratio!

Garmin, manufacturerof navigation equipement, launched a digital waterchart for the Netherlands. According to the manufacturer, it is the first version that shows all available waters in the Netherlands.

The material of Nederland Binnenwateren does not only show rivers and canals, but also the Waddenzee, the IJsselmeer and the Zeeuwse wateren. The map contains special information such as opeing hours for bridges, sight seeing sites and the location on boys. Garmin indicates that the data is provided by EuroCartografie.

The new data can be fitted on a flash card and can be used on Garmin equipment fitted with a micro-sd-slot such as the nüvi 550-autonavigator, some handheld gps-navigators and some plotters.

New Vectran rope

Vectran - we can finally offer a line based on this relative new material: V-Profi. This excellent rope exhibits outstanding strength, low elongation and, moreover, the unique property of Vectran-immeasurable creep. Courtesy of these properties, V-PROFI is exceptionally fitting for all halyards and backstays. The inner cover is made of polyester staple fibre preventing relative movement of the cover towards the core. The cover is made of low abrasive polyester fibre which endows the rope with outstanding abrasion resistance and long life.

The rope is available in diameters 8, 10 and 12mm and is - in relation to similar lines of other well known brands. Pricess from € 4,17 including VAT.

Splice

Good news: We are able to splice the ropes. It has taken some preperation but we did it. Depending on the rope material, we are able to offer to create an straigt forward eye or - in some cases - with a timble (with or without a bar). In all cases, it will be a small eye. If you decide to order a mooring line however, you are free to request the size of the eye (by supplying us the total length of the eye). You need - in all cases - to consider the additional ropelength needed for the splice. We take 1 meter into the splicing process. For mooring lines, the size of the eye is also important to consider.
