Garmin, manufacturerof navigation equipement, launched a digital waterchart for the Netherlands. According to the manufacturer, it is the first version that shows all available waters in the Netherlands.
The material of Nederland Binnenwateren does not only show rivers and canals, but also the Waddenzee, the IJsselmeer and the Zeeuwse wateren. The map contains special information such as opeing hours for bridges, sight seeing sites and the location on boys. Garmin indicates that the data is provided by EuroCartografie.
The new data can be fitted on a flash card and can be used on Garmin equipment fitted with a micro-sd-slot such as the nüvi 550-autonavigator, some handheld gps-navigators and some plotters.
