Renee Groeneveld, Annemieke Bes and Brechtje van der Werf have won the gold medal in the Olympic matchraing class at the Prinses Sofia Cup off the cost of Mallorca - Spain.
Led by captain Groeneveld, the Dutch boat beat the Asutralian Worldchampion Nicky Souter with 3-1. Matchracing uses the Elliot 6M and has been put on the Olympic Calender in London.
Groeneveld won the Silver medal last year August on the EC and won the Worldcup race a month later in Weymouth - also the location for the Olympic races in 2012.
