
Choosing a mooring line is simpel. There are just two main factors to consider:
First of all the length of the mooring line. For recreational use we are using between 1 and 1.5 times the length of the boat. A boat that is 10 meters would have a mooring line between 10 and 15 meter: this depends on your personal taste. When selecting a spring we are calculating with 0,75 times the boat length. We believe that the for and aft spring can be tied with only one rope so all our lines are suitable for this purpose.
The diameter of amooring line depends in most cases on the weight of the boat. Next to this, you will have to consider the cleat the mooring line is used. A guideline for the diameter is:
